Freedom of Information and Privacy
Medicine Hat Public School Division is obligated to uphold legislation in accordance with The Freedom of Information and Privacy Act (FOIP). The Act makes allowances between the public’s right to know and the individual’s right to privacy. The Act ensures that individuals have the right to access their own personal information; and includes strict standards the school division must follow according to the Student Record Regulation regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information.
